Gosh, I recognize most names but cannot place them. Is identifying the story (in the less obvious cases) accepted as a half good answer?

Name an ocean channel near Duckburg. Name the "Straits". Name two bays. Name two coves.

Codfish cove.

Name an island inside the Duckburg Bay, or the sound in which Dukburg Harbor is located.

A typo makes this one even more difficult. :D

Where is Pumpkinburg?

Where was Dizzydrop Hill?

In such questions, do you mean "North? East? ..." ?
Pumpkinburg is upriver from Duckburg (they race to there on the frozen river), so it cannot be West.

What real estate did Cousin Gus own? Cousin Cuthbirt Coot?

I believe Cuthbert Coot is the one who owns a dude ranch; in an early ten-pager ("The Limber W Guest Ranch"?), Donald visits him with the nephews to show them how good a cowboy he is-- and ends up practicing on their hobby horse at the end (which gives me an idea for another Theme Quiz: books in Barks' stories).

What school did Huey, Dewey and Louie attend?

13th 1/3 precinct school?
(I am sure it's "13" and there is an odd fraction.)

Olivier: Sorry. I meant DuCkburg, but we can't edit our posts even once for 1 minute after!

You get partial credit for one cove.

Good answer on Pumpkinburg being northeast of Duckburg, as two of Barks' maps clearly show The Duckburg River flowing southwesterly from the northwest, through the city and emptying into the ocean in a small bay. pumpkinburg was upriver.

Partial (most) credit on Cousin Cuthbirt Coot. He did own a ranch where Donald tried out his "cowboy" skills. However, it was Coot's own ranch he worked for his own living. It was NOT a "Dude Ranch"-which is an entertainment facility for city people to sample "Western (USA) life". Donald visited a Dude Ranch (Limber W Guest Ranch).

You get most credit for knowing that The Nephews attended Duckburg Public (Elementary) School 13 and a fraction. It was actually, 13 1/2 rather than 13 1/3. But that is a minor detail.

Egg: Correct on Susiebelle Swan, and Quack Street being paved in gold.

5 questions answered out of 86, plus one partial (1/6)!

Only 81 more questions to answer!

"Which part of Duckburg is Dreary Street located in? Who lived on that street? Who lived at 18688 Dreary Street?"

As I recall, Dreary Street was across the river, and was where poor people lived. Angina Arthritis lived at 18688 Dreary Street (this was all in the Rival Messengers ten-pager).

Dr. WB: Correct on MOST of your answer. But Angina Arthritis didn't live at that address. That address didn't exist. Donald made it up to make his nephews take a lot of extra time looking for it. The houses on Dreary Street didn't have any numbers (according to the old bum(who was didding his hand in the trashcan)). It was a trick question! The answer was "NO ONE"! I assume that Dreary street is located not far from Shacktown. Dreary Street is in The Forlorn Hills (but still within the Duckburg city limits).

I was certain one of all those addresses was the bogus one, but could not tell which.

A banquet was organized, who guests were all "The greatest" something; in the giant kite story, Donald cuts his car loose above the hotel, and mumbles he had bragged he was "the greatest kite maker", and he is accepted as such.
I found the answer by pure chance when posting my own quiz in the other thread.

Not an answer but a related question: does anyone remember in which story is Goosetown mentioned, please?
An Italian student asked what the French name for it was on a French forum; knowing in which story the name is given would help other members answer.

In 'Bubbleweight Champ' (WDC 282), "Duckburg burrow of the Junior Woodchucks of the World is vying with the Goosetown burrow for points in a great international physical fitness program!" (1.1)

Goosetown was named in several other stories. One of them was in WDC & S #117 - The dam in the hills above Goostown broke, and a flashflood came pouring down, flooding the creek near where Donald and Gladstone were looking for Cowslips for Daisy.

There were several others, but I can't remember them just now.
