In your opinion, what period did Barks create his best works?

I think his drawings were best in the 50's and the dept of the stories into the 60's. Though his 40-er stories were good in another way; they were playful and full of life (cartoon-like). The battles with Donald and his nephews (especially the one in the snow castle) were beautiful. The 50's were nice for the great adventure stories which swept you away with the ducks. And the 60's were great because of the new dept into the storielines, including moral dillemma's and such.

Barks stories changed. That way he succeeded in creating intersting and fresh work for that long.
