Changes in Barks publications

creator of Duckburg and Scrooge McDuck

In panel 1.1 of 'September Scrimmage' (W MMAlm 1-09) as published in The Carl Barks Library, Scrooge says: "The Quackers should try some OLD-TIME football like I used to play at Webfoot Tech. back in the eighties!"

Looking closely at panel 1.1 of a preview scan from Outducks, the text "back in the eighties" is missing:

What's going on here? Does the Outducks scan show a changed reprint? Or is this one of the CBL changes?

The outducks scan is from an Uncle Scrooge Adventures reprint.

According to panel 3.3 of 'Lost Frontier' (WDC 246) in the Carl Barks Library, Donald's nephews take a battery tv set with them to be sure they can see "Captain Gadabout's show next week".

The lettering of "show next week" looks smaller and with different writing style. Could this be a change made afterwards by someone else? By the editor, for example?

Full quote is:
"In case we don't get back,
we won't have to miss
Captain Gadabout's show
next week!"

Furthermore, the comma looks as if it's clammed between the word "back" and the panel border.
Is it really a comma or is it a spot? Can the text do without the comma?

Question about the story with the raffle turkey pet (WDC 75-01). In "The Carl Barks Library - Set VII" a thin line appears on the can with Acme Swofs (4.4), as if one of either words could have been added later. Is this also the case in the original comic?

In a June 20, 2005 private email, Marco Barlotti attached a scan of page 4 of the original comic:

Email taken from the Disney Comics Mailing List, about 'Race to the South Seas'. (W MOC 41-01)

Then you'll love the version that will appear in Egmont's CBC. The
goal was to present the nearest thing to Bark's line art as could be
managed (it no longer exists as original art or reproducible stats),
and preserve the printed color as far as was possible. It was no
small task to achieve, since the ink coverage and color registration
on the source material - the original give-away - was abominable. It
required cleaning up the line art without retouching it AND get the
color into registration AND correct any mistakes by the original
colorist AND eliminate as much as possible of the sheer garbage
caused by the original dirt-cheap printing process.

For the record - and it's on record - Daan Jippes and David Gerstein
are credited with restoration on the version of "Race to the South
Seas" in "Disney Treasures".

In panel 4.1 of 'Uncle Scrooge and the Witching Stick' (US 28), Scrooge says:
"The witching stick NEVER gives me a bum steer! I'll drill DEEPER!"

In the Carl Barks Library, the lettering of the words "gives me" is a bit smaller than the rest of the lettering, and a bit cramped between the left panel border and the words "a bum steer".
What does the first publication of the story contain, in comic Uncle Scrooge 28?

Could this lettering difference indicate a change of lettering in the text? By an editor maybe?
And if so, what wording could have been in its place?
"The witching stick NEVER ...... a bum steer! I'll drill DEEPER!"
