Peter and Gerd: The "modern" history of Disney comics in North
America - from Gladstone I to Gemstone - would be much poorer without
Bill, a creator who has not only done his utmost to please readers,
but is among the few ready to leap to the aid of us poor ol'
productions wonks with things like emergency covers and whatnot. It's
a pleasure to see how your own appreciation has resulted in such a
clean, stylish, well-organized website for one of my own favorite folks.

Comparing William Van Horn and Don Rosa both misusing Barks's stories, Egg would like to know what's worser. Rosa has redrawn some Barks scenes into his own time frame stories. Van Horn has used Barks's art itself to frame into a bigger tale by editor Gary Leach. Van Horn, who has worked with Barks himself on 'Horsing Around With History'. How can it be more confusing for the audience?
Honestly, smart clutchy Egg hasn't thought of this new variation of misusing Barks. You don't redraw the art anymore, like Rosa would. You just add more pages to the original itself, like Van Horn has done.

Editor Leach's comment about Van Horn being helpful in doing "whatnot" makes Egg worried about the future. What will happen next? Van Horn drawing (ulp!) a frame tale for 'Lost Beneath the Sea' to explain away Scrooge's dime as good luck charm? Or (shiver!) a frame tale for the McDuck Flour story to explain away miss Penny Wise's old note?
